The guided tour of Verona will be a walk to discover its symbolic monuments that have made it famous throughout the world, a historic center rich in architecture, art and many curiosities that attract visitors of all ages.We start from the beautiful Ponte Scaligero di Castelvecchio on the Adige river from the medieval era with the characteristic lower part in marble and the upper part with terracotta battlements, adjacent to the castle of the same name, an imposing fortress built to defend the city from enemy attacks within the center the Torre del Mastio, now a museum.

We continue the tour heading towards the Duomo or Cathedral of S. Maria Matricolare built on the remains of ancient early Christian basilicas, of which the mosaic-covered floors are still visible, and visiting the beautiful church inside we will notice the Gothic and Renaissance influences while admiring the famous
Titian’s painting of the Assumption of the Virgin. A few steps from the Duomo we find the Ponte Pietra bridge, the only Roman bridge left in the city, which connects on the other bank of the Adige to the Roman Theater used for concerts and shows.
Among the picturesque streets of the historic center of Verona it is a must to explore Piazza dei Signori square with the statue of Dante in the centre, the administrative center of the city with imposing buildings such as the Palazzo degli Scaligeri, the Loggia del Consiglio and the Palazzo della Ragione with
its elegant staircase; nearby are the Scaliger Tombs in sumptuous Gothic style, a monumental tomb of the ancient Lords of Verona. We continue the walk in one of the symbolic places of Verona, Juliet’s House of the Capulet family made famous by the troubled Shakespearean tragedy of the two lovers with the iconic balcony where Juliet looked out to talk to Romeo, the wall covered with letters and messages of love and the famous bronze statue of Juliet full of curiosities and a favorite destination for selfies. We end the guided tour by crossing Via Mazzini, the shopping street and the well of love to head towards the symbolic monument, the imposing Arena of Verona, built in the 1st century AD. to host gladiator fights, today it is the third largest amphitheater in Italy and the largest open-air opera house in the world which hosts prestigious concerts and shows of various kinds every year.
