Alberobello is a Unesco World Heritage Site, in the heart of the town of the trulli.
Trulli are traditional houses built entirely of stone without mortar or cement.
Every year thousands of tourists can see the old city and visit the trulli with the tools of rural life in the early 1900s.
You can visit the historic center through a path in the narrow streets with a visit to the trulli and neighborhoods of Aia Piccola and Monti.
You will visit the ancient church of St. Anthony, the only church in the world to the shape of trullo and the Trullo Sovrano (housed in the museum) where you can see the decor typical start of the century 1900s.
You can also buy many typical local products in the various typical shops.
After Alberobello, short transfer by car or van to nearby Locorotondo.
Locorotondo is the most beautiful balcony in the Murgia of Trulli, the typical local houses.
The historic area is in the form of a circle, the architecture is beautiful and the colour of houses, churches and buildings quite unique.
White colour is predominant in the old town of Locorotondo, with some colour provided by flowers.
You can visit piazza Vittorio Emanuele square, where two 19th century big pillars mark the old Porta NapoÂli, you can follow a long path where you can see buildings such as the former Town hall, today the Communal Library from the end of the 18th century, the baroque Palazzo Morelli with its splendid portal and small balconies with wrought iron railings and, up ahead, the Mother Church.
Pretty white buildings, coloured with blood red geraniums and other flowers coming out of every corner and nook, Locorotondo is a very charming village!
After Locorotondo, the driver will take you to Martina Franca.
Martina Franca is one of the most important town of the Itria’s valley, famous for its festivals and the many buildings in Baroque and Rococo style.
You can visit piazza XX Settembre square and Gate Santo Stefano, Piazza Roma square where we’ll visit the fountain of the Dolphins and the Palazzo Ducale from the particular eighteenth century frescoes and stately rooms.
Then, you can walking among the alleys of the old town and arrive in Piazza del Plebiscito square and visit the baroque basilica dedicated to St. Martin, exceptional example of Baroque architecture and visit to the Immaculate Square and its famous esedra, the chapel of St. Nicholas of the Greeks, and finally the church of San Domenico.
